About
Adam F. Saad is a principal partner of Saad & Saad LLP headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Adam focuses his law practice on real estate, finance, and business transactions with an emphasis on residential and commercial real property, including affordable housing development and construction matters.
He has effectively led numerous individuals, non-profits, and for-profit enterprises through the maze of multi-tiered financing used to develop affordable housing. He has dedicated a significant portion of his practice dealing with the United States Department of Agricultural Rural Development, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, various State Housing Finance Agencies, Government Sponsored Entities (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), and local governments. He has closed transactions involving USDA Section 515, USDA Section 538, USDA Multifamily Preservation and Revitalization programs, USDA Rental Assistance, HUD FHA insurance, HUD Section 8, HUD Transfers of Physical Assets (TPAs), HUD mark to market debt restructurings, HUD 2530s, HOME financing, FHLB financing, and other similar programs. Through his years of experience in handling these complicated transactions, Adam has developed valuable working relationships with his clients, government organizations, quasi-governmental organizations, private lenders, and numerous syndication groups and investors.
A graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (B.S. 2000), Adam earned his Juris Doctor Degree from Capital University Law School in 2007, received a CALI award for Real Estate Finance, was named a National Member of The Order of Barristers, and participated and later coached the Corporate Moot Court Team at Capital Law. He has been with the firm since graduating from law school. Before attending law school, Adam worked as a consultant for Arthur Andersen LLP in Chicago, IL. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law), the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Columbus Bar Association.
Adam is also the Executive Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Star Title Agency LLC, an independent title agency providing real estate title insurance and escrow services in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania, the company is licensed under the name Settlement Star Services LLC. He is a past President of the Central Ohio Land Title Association and an active member in the Ohio Land Title Association.
Residing in Bexley, Ohio with this wife, Jessica, and their three kids, Hayden (14), Layla (11), and Hudson (8), Adam enjoys playing golf, coaching and spectating almost any sport. He’s a member and current Finance Chair for the Columbus Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization. Adam is also very active in fundraising for cancer research and has been a recurring participant in Pelotonia.
